Justice League Review
Justice League is here and it’s loads of fun!
While the movie has it issues, 2017’s Justice League is a breath of fresh air after Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, which a lot of us are trying to forget. Focusing on Batman recruiting heroes to help protect the world, the film introduces heroes that are well known to comic fans but might not be familiar to the everyday viewer.
Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and Henry Cavill reprise their roles with newcomers Ezra Miller (The Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Jason Momoa (Aquaman) make up the rest of the group.
As stated before, the film has some issues, but they don’t overly bog down the film. The main cast has such great chemistry that it’s hard to dislike any of them.
Momoa’s Aquaman comes off as a cool loner with history, and by adding a bit of cheekiness to him, makes us want more and builds up to his solo film.
Ezra Miller is the heart of the team as well as the resident funnyman who manages to be humorous without being overbearing.
But the biggest surprise is Ray Fisher.
This is Fisher’s first big screen role and he does fantastically. Not only does he make Cyborg relatable ,but it’s obvious he understands the character well. He delivers a fantastic performance, making us want more from him.
The jokes land, the action scenes are enjoyable and the cast is just a delight. Could have it been better? Probably, but that doesn’t mean the film isn’t any less fun. It’s such a relief to see studios making superhero movies fun again!
