2017 New Show Reviews
We've had several new sci fi and comic book themed shows debut this month and some are better than others.
Santa Clarita Diet (Netflix) Personally, I found the mix of camp/gore to be a bit much, so I think I'll be sticking with iZombie as my go to undead show. I did like the storyline though and it's an all-star cast. If you’re a fan of campy humor and Ash vs Evil Dead, then binge away.
Riverdale (CW) It’s as if Gossip Girl was remade in a small town with comic book character names. If you like teen dramas where all the characters either hook up or kill each other, then grab your popcorn. If you like comics and the current CW heroes, RUN AWAY.
Powerless (NBC) The cast is sooooo good in other shows and I really hope they have better comedic timing in future episodes. It’s a good premise and I will give it till the 3rd episode. The show has the potential to be epic or literally powerless... cross your fingers.
Legion (FX) Disturbing, confusing, and intriguing is how I would describe the pilot for this series. I still don’t know if it was real or simply in his head.
